Overview and goals

The Postgraduate Program is a multidisciplinary research team that devotes itself to the potential, the product development, the manufacturing, the implementation, the use and the impacts of microenergy systems. Scientists from power engineering, environmental planning, mechanical engineering, civil engineering, political science and environmental psychology fields are working together for this purpose. The Postgraduate Program conducts multidisciplinary research into the potential of microenergy systems. In doing so the key aim is to develop strategies and appliances for the conception, production and lasting implementation of microenergy systems for structurally weak regions in developing and industrialised countries. It concerns itself therefore with technical aspects, as well as with the question of how to shape the sociological, economical and social context, so as to ensure a productive and sustainable impact in structurally weak regions.
